Winter/Spring/Winter

Very strange indeed... March in New York with temperatures in the 20s then the 80s and back to the 20s! It's enough to confuse Mother Nature.
We did succumb to a bit a spring fever, getting out to the garden to clean up, fertilize and chip some mulch for what looks like a very dry season. We are on a fire alert here in the Catskills. The combination of very little snow and hardly any rain has push the same area hit so hard by Tropical Storm Irene last year into drought conditions.
Fortunately the drought has not extended to our studio where we have been busy making pots in anticipation of selling at the shows we have signed up for so far. We have 4-6 on the calendar already and are waiting to hear the results from a few others. We start on that first weekend in June at the Kenan Center in upstate New York. Until then we are busy worker bees.
