We are getting ready for THE big trip this year. We have never ever
done three consecutive art fairs on the road. Why we are attempting this
feat in 2012 is because times have changed. Have you noticed? Since the
economic meltdown, the small galleries have not returned therefore our
wholesale business has gone south and not just for us... for all
craftspeople. The result is that more and more high quality crafts are
showing up at retail shows. That's good news for you but it throws us
into a competitive spin.
And spinning we are................. Will we have what you want?
"The chief source of art is man's pleasure in his daily work, which expresses itself and is embodied in that art itself."

Orders going...
We have been steadily making pots without firing much. However we had a
couple of orders we needed to get out so we did. I sent them off today
but not without a couple of photos first....
then we took a walk....
over the Hudson River on a new walkway made from an old bridge connecting Highland to Poughkeepsie....lovely..

Landscaping 2012
Not having an order from the Metropolitan Museum of Art will allow us to play more with new ideas. Here is a look at Cherie's 2012 landscape series which are essentially a hark back to her earliest work which was quite whimsical.
Two or three more will complete the series.
Forms designed by Cherie, thrown by Steve
Decorating a bottle
Finished view
Another view of same bottle
Bowl with Landscape
Final view of same bottle
Another view of bowl
Two or three more will complete the series.
