Two October firings

 Here are just a few photos of the last two kiln loads. We actually lost some pieces because of a thermocouple malfunction. Sad because the glaze was gorgeous.... it just ran onto the shelf......
Saved some but lost others. The ones that survived look beautiful. Reminded me of our days reduction gas firing to Cone 10 in our Minnesota Flattop car kiln. Those days you never knew what you'd find when you opened the kiln the next day. Electric firings are much more controllable.... unless of course, the machine breaks!
Hammer and chiseling the bottom pots off the shelves... bummer!
Still, what made it looked beautiful!!

 Second firing did better. We happily greeted the trees, callas and Irises.
